When we reach 1000 followers on Twitter, we're going to go a bit nuts. Not so much "EVERYTHING MUST GO!" nuts, but still. Here's what we're offering the winner:
1. The winner will be crowned the King or Queen of Mooba. You'll get a crown, your photo up in the cafe, and we'll bow every time you come in.
2. You'll get free coffee for an entire month. That's one a day, for 31 days.
3. You'll also get to choose three of your favourite dishes to go on our menu. We'll name them after you, and give you full credit on Twitter, Facebook etc. How long we keep them on the menu depends on how well they sell, so choose carefully.
4. For a whole month, we'll make you feel like the world revolves around you. We're not sure how we're going to measure this, but we're going to try.
OK, so down to the nitty-gritty. Here are the rules:
1. You must be following us on Twitter to be eligible to win
2. A date will be picked at random when we reach 1000 followers, at a specified time. If that date is your birthday, you'll need to @reply as quickly as possible. The first person with that birthday to reply, wins the whole prize.
3. If no one replies within the specified time, we'll pick another date, and therefore another winner
4. You must be able to pick up your free coffees from Mooba Subiaco or Wembley. If you live in a different state/country, we can give you all the other bits of the prize, just not the coffee part. You won't be able to nominate someone else to claim the free coffee, so if you'd prefer we can just pick another winner
5. You must be a real person in order to win. You can't be a business/company or a bot. To prove it's really your birthday, we'll ask to see some proof when you first come in
Good luck everyone!

You may have read a piece in the Weekend West Australian today about something called Firesheep. As the piece explained, this is a small but seriously powerful computer programme written by a clever chap in the USA that shows how unsafe some websites and WiFi networks can be.
On Thursday Jason Jordan and Louise Bourke conducted an experiment at our Subiaco store to see if Firesheep really is such a big deal after all. It turns out it is, and it was pretty unnerving seeing total strangers accessing our Facebook and Twitter accounts. We acknowledged that there was a problem with our open WiFi, and spent a large part of the next day trying to solve the issue. After working with our ISP we managed to put a password on our WiFi, which will prevent Firesheep from working and therefore making it totally safe for our customers to use. We're really grateful to Jason for alerting us to the problem, and for helping us to fix it so quickly.
This won't change how you can use WiFi at Mooba - it's still free and completely unlimited. You'll just need to ask for the password when you come in (this will stay the same, so you should be able to store it on your laptop). If you have any problems logging on, don't hesitate to give us a shout.
All the best
